  1. BOMB ORANIENBURG AIRFIELD
  2.  
  3. On April 10, 1945, a force of 1300 heavy
  4. bombers targeted airfields thought to be
  5. jet bases.  Approximately fifty Me 262s 
  6. rose to intercept the bombers.  Using 
  7. tactics that involved an attack by one or 
  8. two aircraft, mostly aimed at stragglers 
  9. or outer elements of the formation, the 
  10. jets had their most successful day 
  11. against the Eighth Air Force heavies.  
  12. But this was not without cost to the 
  13. Luftwaffe: twenty Me 262s were claimed as 
  14. destroyed on this day.

  18. Flying in formation of six B-17s, you 
  19. are to bomb the airfield at Oranienburg.  
  20. Watch for Me 262s intercepting.  Escort 
  21. fighters are on their way, but you'll 
  22. probably have to hold your own for a 
  23. short time.
